Chief Technical Officer: Plant
Mr. Wenbao Li was appointed as Executive Head: Processing Plant at Wesizwe Platinum Limited in 2025.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mineral Processing Engineering from the China University of Mining and Technology and is a certified Intermediate Mineral Processing Engineer accredited by the Gansu Provincial Department of Labor and Social Security.
Mr. Li has built his career in mineral processing operations and management at Jinchuan Group Co. Ltd., one of the world’s leading non-ferrous metal producers. He joined Jinchuan in 2014 as a Mineral Processing Technician and steadily advanced through various technical and leadership roles, including Process Engineer, General Foreman, and later Deputy Manager of the Concentrator Plant.
Over the years, he has accumulated extensive experience in beneficiation process optimization, production planning, and safety management, as well as in equipment maintenance and performance improvement initiatives. He has also led multiple process investigations and pilot tests for new reagent and process-flow developments.
At Wesizwe, Mr. Li contributes to the strategic and operational leadership of the Bakubung Platinum Mine’s concentrator and processing systems, supporting the company’s drive toward efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective production. His technical expertise strengthens Wesizwe’s commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
