Deputy General Manager
Mr. Lei Liu was appointed as Deputy General Manager of Wesizwe Platinum Limited in August 2025.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from Hunan University of Science and Technology and has nearly 20 years of experience in mining operations, technical management and mine development.
Mr. Liu began his career at Jinchuan Group in 2006 and progressed through various technical and operational leadership roles. His experience spans underground and open-pit mining, mine design, ventilation systems, production management, safety, maintenance and project development. He also gained international mining experience at Ruashi Mining in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he held technical and senior mine services responsibilities.
At Wesizwe, Mr. Liu oversees key mining technical and operational activities, including the implementation of mine production and construction plans, mining tender evaluations, contract negotiations and technical support relating to mining logistics and equipment. He also supports the implementation of safety, health and environmental requirements across project delivery.
