Rustenburg, 6 May 2025. Wesizwe Platinum Limited (WPL) is aware of the various
media articles and coverage over a looming possible suspension of the company’s
listing as a Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE)-listed company, and in-effect, the
related-trading of its shares.
The company wishes to assure all of its shareholders and stakeholders of the stability
of our company and further reaffirm the commitment of our majority shareholder to
the success this project.
Wesizwe would like to reiterate its position as a stable mining project – with an
unwavering intention of sustainably mining for a Life of Mine (LOM) of 30 years.
The company has on a prior months submitted SENS Announcements informing the
market of the impact of the December 2024 cyberattack on our financial reporting
systems and as a result requested an extension on the submission of our Integrated
Annual Report (IAR) and Audited Financial Statements (AFS). This delay, was reported,
further reinforcing our commitment and openness to both the JSE and our investors.
We wish to reassure all of our shareholders and stakeholders that we are working
around the clock to investigate possible avenues availed to us to avert a potential
JSE-trading suspension. The Company is working diligently with its auditors and
remains firmly committed to publishing the AFS, IAR and Notice of AGM as soon as
possible.
