Financial Director (FD) and Executive Director
Mr. Jianguo Liu serves as Financial Director at Wesizwe Platinum Limited. He holds an International MBA in Finance and Marketing Management from the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University in collaboration with the MIT Sloan School of Management. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Inner Combustion Engine from Xi’an Jiaotong University in China.
Mr. Liu brings over 27 years of extensive experience across power generation, petrochemicals, development finance, and project finance. His areas of expertise include international finance, investment analysis, budget planning, and financial management.
Before joining Wesizwe, Mr. Liu held several senior positions at globally recognised institutions. He served as Senior Project Manager at Sinopec, Business Development Director at GE Energy, and later as Managing Director at the China-Africa Development Fund, where he led the Livelihood Investment, Market Development, and Investment Consulting Department.
In addition to his financial and operational expertise, Mr. Liu is known for his international perspective and deep understanding of emerging markets, having travelled to 39 African countries in the course of his work. His global exposure and financial leadership continue to support Wesizwe’s growth strategy and long-term sustainability.
